Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
